Health Score
Although improvements to our diet and lifestyle choices can improve our health status and risk of developing long term health conditions, there are some factors that we can’t influence such as age, gender, ethnicity and family history.
However, knowing your numbers is the first step in understand how healthy you are. Use the Health Score calculator tool to work out your own health score. And if you make any changes to your diet and lifestyle, you can always re-calculate your health score to see if it’s improved.
The health score is calculated using the main indicators of risk associated with longer term diet and health related conditions such as weight, blood cholesterol, blood pressure, activity level. The health score is out of 100, so the higher the number the higher your health score. If you don’t have all the measurements needed for a health score or have any concerns or questions about your health and weight please contact your doctor or health professional for further advice.
